This very profound yet simple truth is: If you want God’s blessing in your life then press into Him with total abandonment.
Reformation Briefing 1
Conviction is not condemnation.
I asked The Lord what He wanted me to say and He said this: “Tell them to return to their first love with their whole heart and I will bless them for I Am merciful and kind, slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness and truth”. Tell them: do not walk on My grace or My blood that was shed for them. For this is a time of My visitation to them and their time to repent at My Throne of Grace. For I Am a Holy God and I Am The God of their salvation.”
I. God didn’t leave, the people did.
During the time of the kings of Israel and Judah (read 1Kings and 2Kings) it is clearly seen that the majority of the kings “did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord their God”. A handful of righteous kings did bless the Lord and by doing so blessed the people. However, those who did not follow the Lord with their whole heart did evil and the people were cursed because they served false foreign gods and worshipped idols and became a fallen society.
The prolific thread and lesson from history to be learned and applied today is: when leadership at any level fails to follow God the people under that leadership suffer. Moral complacency leads to failure. If leadership and society are doing what destroys the blessing of God then the common sense approach should be removing the stumbling blocks from the hearts of the people. This universal truth transcends to all forms of society and leadership beginning with churches which is their mandate to affect society, politics and business.
II. Corruption breads corruption and eats away the good in society like a cancer and must be dealt with.
Half truths and watered down truth, regardless of one’s good intention, because society doesn’t want to hear the truth is not going to bring the change that is needed to change the issues people are facing today in our current politically correct cancel culture environment.
The issue we as ministers have to confront today in the church is many churches are complacent in regard to its moral place in society. The church is failing to confront to remove the false gods and social idols of todays culture from the hearts of those who enter its doors. In an attempt to reach the lost the many churches have turned to entertainment and preaching progressive socially accepted media myths instead of preaching the word of God and pressing in to worship a Holy mighty God Head.
III. Has God’s Presence Left You
How many times in the past five years have you held back asking your congregation or those you are ministering to the hard or tough questions with the thought I can’t ask or say that because it might offend someone and they’ll leave my church?
How many times have you asked your congregation: are you trying to worship God while living in sin and entertaining sin in your heart?
How many times have you asked your congregation: are you daily reading your bible and trying to walk in a manner that is pleasing to God?
How many times have you asked your congregation: regardless of what the world is dictating through progressive and hedonistic reforms are fighting the good fight of faith and standing for the principles of Holy God?
How many times have you asked your congregation: How many people here today, who are claiming they are in Christ, realize that the lack of His manifest presence in their life is an indictment that their hearts might be far from Him?
How many churches today have replaced biblical teaching and preaching for feel good programs that might resemble righteousness but lack the power of a fully present God?
How many ministers have rejected the presence of God’s Glory, His Holy Spirit, because they fear God might move in a manner that would cause people to leave the church?
How many times have you asked the question: Just as Israel and Judah had forms of godliness they lacked in the blessings that could of have been theirs had they followed God with their whole heart and removed the hinderances of society, the false idols, false gods, and the socially accepted morals that plague our society?
IV. Conviction Is Nothing Condemnation. Conviction Spot Lights Sin and Leads One To Repent
If any of the above questions asked have a response promoting conviction by The Holy Spirit their must be pressing in to God with a repentant heart. The church today must bring reform through a reformation of returning to the altar of our Holy God with ones whole heart praying for His forgiveness and weeping for His Holy Presence. Just as in the book of Acts, those who lay at His feet and press in will rise up and fight to return the hearts of those who say they love God fully back to Him.
When God shows up holiness happens because His presence demands it. When God shows up He always affects society. Revivals of the past prove His phenomenal presence causes responses when people return to God with their whole heart.
When the body of Christ cries out in their depravity and returns to their first love with abandonment of self care and worship God as David did He will bless them because He loves them and God wants to bless them with His fellowship. It’s who He is and why He sent Jesus to die on a cross.
We who are His are commanded by Him to confront the sinful issues in society because its who He is and we are supposed to be a reflection of Him. It’s who Jesus is and the gospels reveal His testimony to not God’s people but all mankind to turn and return to Him. We are called to be a peculiar people, a chosen people, whose mission in life is to reach the world for the Glory of God through Jesus His beloved Son in all that we do.
V. It’s our commission. To say it’s anything less is false and therefore a lie that cannot be tolerated.
We as a people are moving into a time of great blessings and curses. Those who serve the Lord with pure and contrite hearts will be blessed by His presence which will transcend to all areas in their lives. It’s God’s promised blessing to all those who love Him and serve Him as stated in His word in many Psalms, including His direct promise in Psalm 91:14-18 and then reiterated by Jesus Himself in John’s Gospel chapters 14 and following.
The Psalm 91, written by Moses talks about those who abide in God will be blessed. Jesus stated: we must abide for apart from Him there is no blessing. The promises of God and His answers to our prayers are found in the abiding of His presence beneath the pinions of His wings. How do we getting to that place of blessing? When the church realizes His glory has left and realizes that by reverent prayerful submission at His feet we will find His abiding presence. For it is at His Throne of Grace that we press in to pray, to listen and receive His blessings and with total abandonment to Him walk in obedience to what He tells us to do.
This very profound yet simple truth is: If you want God’s blessing in your life, if you want society to be reformed then press into Him with total abandonment. To do anything less than full surrender to Him means there are issues and idols in your life preventing you from doing so which must be dealt with and cleansed from your life.
I have been called by God to proclaim this truth:
The word of The Lord God Almighty and The Holy One who sits at the right hand of God The Father of all creation states: I know your hearts and your desires for from it flows the issues of your life. Therefore, you must walk in a manner that is pleasing unto Me says The Lord your God.
Our desires must line up with God’s desires to Glorify God in all things concerning your life.
Altar Call
Our total surrender to Him is the only way forward. Relationship is a commitment of dedicated perseverance to the one you want a relationship with. Full commit of yourself to Him now is the only way forward. Full commitment to Him through repentance at His Throne of Grace is the beginning of revival for your life.
For I Am a Holy God and I Am The God of their salvation.
Please wherever you are humble yourself and make an alter to the Lord by bowing your heads and hearts in reverence to Him, if you can get on your knees and put your forehead at His Feet do so now, humble yourself before God The Father, God The Son and God The Hoy Spirit.
Repent of your sins, iniquities and transgressions. Cry out to God with all your heart and weep for His Mercy and Holy presence.
Let us pray:
