1 Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

This implies God’s previous intervention, David is asking for help again

2 O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception?

David rebukes the ungodly, those who’s mouths are filled lies and deceit. David tells them their attempts to deceive God and the Godly are useless. Because God has set the Godly ones, those who love God, through Jesus Christ, and pursue God day and night are under His care and protection.

3 But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself; The Lord hears when I call to Him. 

Because of their constant praise, worship and prayers God hears His godly ones. David tells those who are God’s not to fear or get anxious. God is in control.

4 Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. 

Instead of fear or worry, that grips the hearts of the ungodly, let praise, worship and prayers flow from your hearts and mouths.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the Lord.

6 Many are saying, “Who will show us any good?” Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord! 

David is asking for the glory of God to made visible. We can pray the same prayer by faith believing that God wants to bless us with His Holy presence and Glory. Why?, because we have the promises of God through Jesus who tells us to abide in prayer. Plus, Jesus said pray for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire of God. Did you know the Kingdom of God is Righteousness, Peace and Joy? What does that mean? God’s Holy Presence is His Righteousness. When one enters His manifest presence His Glory causes all who enters into His presence to fall on their face. God’s glory leads one to repent. When people ask for forgiveness God forgives, and when they pray the prayer of salvation God saves them in the name of Jesus through the work Jesus did by dying on the cross. Then Peace enters one’s heart. When it does, that Peace brings with the revelation the one who repented and prayed is going to heaven. And at that revelation there is great Joy because of His Glorious blessing you are saved.

7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound.

8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.

God Is The Glorious Refuge of all those who love Him, worship Him, Praise Him and pray to Him in the name of Jesus. The Glorious God Head – Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are there for all who would call upon the name of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Friend if you don’t know Jesus Christ as Your perfect Lord and Savior pray this prayer with me today.

Write my name in Your Book of Life. Please fill my heart and life with The Holy Spirit to guide me through your word and empower me to live my life for you every day.

4) When you find a church ask to be Baptized in water in the name of Jesus. This is an act of obedience to the word of God and outward expression of your inner faith.

Heavenly Father, in Jesus Name, I pray for Your blessing to be upon every daughter and son who has given their life to Jesus by asking Him to be their personal Lord and Savior. Bless them Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Protect them from every evil. Allow their new faith to grow deep in rich wonderful soil watered daily by Holy Spirit and fed by Your Word. I pray they would become as “oaks of righteousness unto Your glory” through Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.
