Blessings, Blessings, Blessings! By My Holy Spirit Says The Lord Of Host

The body of Christ is called to walk in obedience and in the anointing of The Holy Spirit unto the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashiach!

The prophet Zechariah stated 4:6 

‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.

The prophet Isaiah stated 61:1

Video 3) The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted;

I) The Church – Anointed, The promise of the Holy Spirit

Session 1) “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me” is direct reference to Messiah and also to His body, the church. It’s The Lord’s directive for His body, the church, to give testimony and proclamation of His Word, His salvation, His promises under the direct empowerment or anointing of The Holy Spirit.

Just as the prophet Isaiah proclaimed Jesus would bring the good news, the prophet Zechariah stated how He got it done and the New Testament testifies that it happened.

A) “These are My words which I spoke to you prior to My death”

Luke 24

44) Now Jesus said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45) Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46) and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, 47) and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48) You are witnesses of these things.

B) Notice: After Jesus died and rose again, He met with His disciples many times prior to His ascension into heaven. Jesus was talking to His disciples about conversations they had before He was crucified. The disciples really didn’t understand the full scope of what Jesus was telling them. The Lord had to open their minds to the truth.

Prior to the cross Jesus spoke of blessing them with the Holy Spirit. He blessed them with the Holy Spirit. They saw Him for who He really is and realized how scripture testified to this fact. And they believed in Him and received salvation becoming first to be called in “The Way” in Messiah now called Christians.

II) The Promise Of The Holy Spirit prior to Jesus going to the cross

John 16

A) Jesus said: It’s All About The Truth and The Holy Spirit will enlighten you

7) but I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (The Holy Spirit) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. 8) And He, (The Holy Spirit) when He comes:

will Convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; 9) concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me;

10) and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me;

11) and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

13) But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14) He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15) All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it, the blessing, to you.

Recap: Jesus, prior to the cross promised the coming of The Holy Spirit in John 16, who would will lead us into all truth. After Jesus’ death, the disciples really didn’t understand the prophetic message or revelation that Jesus was talking about. The disciples were lost, separated and distraught. Then Jesus rose from the dead and prior to His ascension revealed Himself to His followers and blessed them with their first Holy Spirit anointing.

Jesus blessed them with the ability to understand the scriptures and how he had to fulfill all the prophecies about Him. They received the ability to see the truth because Jesus blessed them with the Holy Spirit. At the moment of seeing who Jesus really was they believed on Him and became the first to be called in the way, in Messiah, born again unto life eternal and later called Christian. The Holy Spirit moved on their hearts and minds revealing the truth of Jesus’s promises.

But the first revelation was only the beginning.

III) Then, just prior Jesus’ ascension in Luke 24:49, Jesus Spoke Of Another Promise Concerning The Holy Spirit, in greater measure. What was this blessing that Jesus was about to reveal?

Luke 24:49) And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until (BOOM) you are clothed with power from on high”

IV) Obedience Brings Great Blessings 

A) “You shall be baptized in The Holy Spirit”.  Jesus said:

Acts 1:7) but I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if do You shall be baptized in The Holy Spirit
