Part Two: The New Believers First Step Of Faith – Believe!
Babies crawl then learn to walk step by step. For new believers in Christ it’s all about one’s walk of faith. And to be completely honest one’s walk of faith is for a life time. From now to eternity it’s all about the wonderful blessing of the God Head to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
First Steps: Trust – Trust and Abide; listed are seven keys or directives to focus on:
Fact Check: When we Believe we Trust. When we have unbelief — we have no confidence in God that He will hear and answer our request…
Psalm 37:3-5
Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
V4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
V5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding.
V6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
John 15:4-5 states
2. Dwell In His Presence
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. V5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
What does all of this scripture mean?
Jesus wants us to hang out with Him
It’s time to Trust – Trust and Believe. When we believe we abide. When we read His bible, we abide. When we talk to Him and pray, we abide. Father God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit have so many promises and blessing for us they want us to come to Them believing They Love Us.
Remember: For God So Loved The World That He Gave Jesus To Us.
Ask yourself this question: If the Trinity did not love us and want to fellowship with us would Jesus have suffered such a terrible death on the cross for us? NO! So think about it: can you trust someone who died for you so you can go to heaven? YES!
So here’s the deal. Father God (Abba Father) Jesus and The Holy Spirit want us to learn how to communicate with Them on a daily basis. What that means is: bring it all to Abba Father in the name of Jesus. Talk to Him about everything you’re thinking about. Bring what you understand or don’t understand to His Throne of Grace. That means all of one’s pre-subjections, feelings or recollections and desires. The fact is Abba already knows what our thoughts are and He loves us despite the good, the bad or the ugly.
Here’s How To Start: Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus and His Righteousness… This honors the blood sacrifice Jesus made for us allowing us to have an entrance to the Throne of Grace. Now just talk to Him, He loves us and cares for YOU.
3. Walk in Obedience
Check This Out. In Isaiah 3:18 -20 God calls us to talk to Him: “Let Us Reason”
V18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
V19 “If you consent and obey, You will eat the best of the land;
What The Lord is saying is this: Your sins are forgiven and it’s time to learn from the Word of God. Jesus is saying come and talk to Me, I will council you through My word, the bible, and if you obey My counsel you will be blessed. The bible has so many promises in it and what’s really awesome, the words were written in heaven, just for us, before creation. It was God’s plan to fellowship with us from the very beginning.
Jesus said “come all who are weary, heavy laden, I will give you rest, My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” This is an open invitation for us to come and share what’s on our minds, our hearts, what’s troubling us. Remember: the beautiful thing is, The Godhead already knows. Father God wants to bless us, help us, grow us, prosper us. Just as parents love their children and want them to learn to communicate, Abba Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit want to teach us and bless our lives. For we are made Complete In HIM!
