Praying Psalm Twelve Part Three – God Is Our Helper Against The Treacherous

The Psalms of David are a blue print to help us know how and what to pray. God’s intervention and help and are as relevant for us today as when they were written.

  1. Do not step on God’s Glory
  2. Do not grieve Holy Spirit
  3. Do not walk on The Blood of Christ

The Majesty of the Lord.

Psalm 93

1The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty;

The Lord has clothed, encircled, Himself with strength.

Indeed, the world is firmly established; it will not be moved.

2 Your throne is established from of old; You are from eternity.

3 The floods have lifted up, Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice, The floods lift up their pounding waves.

4 More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The Lord on high is mighty.

5 Your testimonies are fully confirmed; Holiness is pleasing to Your house, Lord, forevermore.

I. Do not step on God’s’ Glory

By this prophetic proclamation the psalmist tells us because God is who He is in His Glory, in His Holiness, He is Mighty and in control for evermore.

Because God proclaims His promises in His word by His servants we can pray and proclaim God’s help in reference to the prayers in psalms. The Psalms are a blue print, so to speak, to help us know how and what to pray. Psalm 12 reveals issues that needed God’s intervention and help and are relevant for us today as an example.

There are many treacherous people led Lucifer and by their own lust for evil in the world today. The latest social references or narratives by the current White House administration are imposing a godless culture on America. When leaders call that which is evil good and the things of God or that which is good evil God’s children will cry out to God concerning the oppression.  When church leaders appease evil they like the world are walking on the Glory of God and directly fighting against Him and His absolute will for our lives.

God Is Our Helper Against The Treacherous.

A Psalm of David.

12:1 Help, Lord, for the godly person has come to an end, For the faithful have disappeared from the sons of mankind.

2 They speak lies to one another; They speak with flattering lips and a double heart.

3 May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things;

4 Who have said, “With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; who is lord over us?”

5 “Because of the devastation of the poor, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will put him in the safety for which he longs.”

6 The words of the Lord are pure words; Like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, filtered seven times.

7 You, Lord, will keep them; You will protect him from this generation forever.

8 The wicked strut about on every side when vileness is exalted among the sons of mankind

The Promise of God through His servant Moses in Psalm 91 states:

14

“Because he has loved Me, I will save him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.

15

He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.

16

I will satisfy him with a long life, And show him My salvation.”

Just as Moses did, it is the shepherd’s, the pastors, five fold ministers of God responsibility to reveal evil as it occurs and encourage the children of God to pray against evil wicked spirits and the evil wicked people who do their biding. This is called spiritual warfare. When we as ministers do not proclaim these truths concerning the blessings that radiate from His glory we step on His glory by diminishing His absolutes which are a direct reflection to Him. Many churches and pastors are doing just that, walking on the glory of God, by silence, or appeasing lawlessness and anti godliness one directly diminishes God from the issues that are plaguing society in all issues including politics and media narratives. We cannot stay silent on the issues.

Whatever the yoke is that is binding them, or you, to silence has to be broken off them in the Name of Jesus. Then in full submission to Holy Spirit you must be led forward in the power of God and His manifest presence, His Glory, to His bride the body of Christ. God is there and will intervene if we will humble ourselves and ask Him too.

Because God is, He does not bend or change to the whims of society. He is there to redirect the whims of society back to godliness by His Holy Spirit working through those who love Him and serve Him. When the five fold ministry loses it’s directive, as we have learned from biblical history, there are 7000 who have not bent their knees to worship Baal or the world and are crying out to God. God hates evil and the body of Christ must there to confront it. God is Holy, He is Truth, He radiates who He is from His Glory which fills His temple. Holy Spirit is the Trinities direct representation on the earth and the I AM who holds back God’s impending judgement and the wrath.

II. Do Not Grieve The Holy Spirit

Many churches today are doing just that by deny the Glory of GOD from manifesting in their churches. The Holy Spirit is the direct representation of God’s Glory so why would any church not want Him, who leads us and guides us into all truth to helm every pulpit? Many people worship theologies from movements past as the norm rather than pressing in to the more of God to His Glory for the present.

God cannot be measured, He is infinite, yet many churches reduce Him to an experience by worshipping the experiential elements of His grace for that time as a norm rather than pressing into His infinite Glory. Many churches are worshipping at the Asherah Pole of their social ideology / theology rather than following God’s word and humbling themselves at the Altar Of Christ for every blessing His Holy Spirit has for us today.

Stop Grieving The Holy Spirit.

Acts Chapter Five reveals to us what can happen when we grieve His Holiness.

The Fate of Ananias and Sapphira Grieving Holy Spirit

ACTS 5 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property, and kept back some of the proceeds for himself, with his wife’s full knowledge, and bringing a portion of it, he laid it at the apostles’ feet.

3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land?

4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.” 5 And as he heard these words, Ananias collapsed and died; and great fear came over all who heard about it.

The young men got up and covered him up, and after carrying him out, they buried him.

Now an interval of about three hours elapsed, and his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter responded to her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for this price?” And she said, “Yes, for that price.” Then Peter said to her, “Why is it that you have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out as well.” 10 And immediately she collapsed at his feet and died; and the young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband. 11 And great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard about these things.

12 At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people; and they were all together in Solomon’s portico.

Even though Acts reveals physical death from grieving Holy Spirit, death can come in more ways than just physical. As The epistles reiterate what happens when believers follow the lust of the flesh, the pride of life rather than submitting to the full leadership of God by His Holy Spirit.

As for the apostles, and the saints who were not apostles, as stated in Acts, Paul stated: I did not come and speak with just word’s only but I ministered in The Power of Holy Spirit. Paul ministered with manifestations of God’s Glory in signs, wonders and miracles. Which by the way can only happen by abiding in Jesus, for apart from Him we can do nothing.

So why are so many who call themselves Christian grieving Holy Spirit who was given to us as a gift from God The Father? Aren’t we all saved to proclaim and glory God, empowered by Holy Spirit, to testify about the Cross, the broken body and Blood of Christ? So why are so many churches walking on the testimony of the blood of Christ as though its something we just don’t talk about because it might offend someone? Are You Kidding Me?

III. Stop Walking On The Blood Of Christ

Peter’s Arrest and Deliverance

Acts 12 Now about that time Herod the king laid hands on some who belonged to the church, to do them harm. And he had James the brother of John executed with a sword. When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter as well. (Now these were he days of Unleavened Bread.) When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, turning him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending only after the Passover to bring him before the people.

So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church.

On the very night when Herod was about to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards in front of the door were watching over the prison. And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near Peter, and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter’s side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And his chains fell off his hands. And the angel said to him, “Put on your belt and strap on your sandals.” And he did so. And he *said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” And he went out and continued to follow, and yethe did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 Now when they had passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened for them by itself; and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

11 When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.” 12 And when he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, who was also called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying. 13 When he knocked at the door of the gate, a slave woman named Rhoda came to answer. 14 When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gate. 15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind!” But she kept insisting that it was so. They said, “It is his angel.” 16 But Peter continued knocking; and when they had opened the door, they saw him and were amazed. 17 But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to James and the brothers.” Then he left and went to another place.

18 Now when day came, there was no small disturbance among the soldiers as to what could have become of Peter. 19 When Herod had searched for him and had not found him, he examined the guards and ordered that they be led away to execution. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and was spending time there.

The Trifecta Offense Of Herod Agrippa and His Immediate Death

20 Now he was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; and with one mind they came to him, and having won over Blastus the king’s chamberlain, they were asking for peace, because their country was supported with grain from the king’s country.

21 On an appointed day, after putting on his royal apparel, Herod took his seat on the rostrum and began delivering an address to them. 22 The people repeatedly cried out, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” 23 And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.

24 But the word of the Lord continued to grow and to be multiplied.

Led by the Holy Spirit, Peter and James were led to minister in power to a broken culture. A culture being corrupted by a broken King Agrippa and the religious Jewish leadership. Not only did the Jews reject God Glory repeatedly, they rejected His Glory His Glory revealed in His Son Jesus by His Holy Spirit and then rejected the testimony of His truth by His Holy Spirit concerning the blood of Christ. The actions by Herod Agrippa revealed the depravity of Israel and it’s cultural move toward Romanism.

A list of questions we have to ask concerning social relevance then and now:

Was Israel falling into moral decay? Yes

Is the USA falling into moral decay?

Did Israel through political, religious and social narratives try to dispel and destroy the body of Christ? Yes

Are political groups in the USA doing the same today?

Did Agrippa want to appease the Romans world view? Yes

Are Christians aligning themselves up with current social trends that are conflict with the Word of God?

Did Herrod want to appease the religious jews? Yes

Are Pastors appeasing political and social issues by staying silent?

Did Agrippa and religious politicians put innocent Christians into jail and Murder Stephen, James and others not mentioned? Yes

Are innocent Christians, in the USA, being put into prison and are they being sued for holding fast to biblically mandated convictions?

Did the politically driven ideologies under Agrippa Murder The Apostles? Yes

Whats next in the USA if don’t rise up in the power of Holy Spirit and pray and speak out against “The Treacherous” in both spirit and flesh?

Exactly!

When Peter was arrested what did the church do? They Prayed

And what did God do? He Intervened

Agrippa stood in his pomp and accepted the social adulation for persecuting the church and then he put himself in the position to be called God, a position every jew knew was forbidden and why they said Jesus should be crucified. God is the only one who should be called and worshipped for who He is. What did God do?

21 On an appointed day, after putting on his royal apparel, Herod took his seat on the rostrum and began delivering an address to them.

22 The people repeatedly cried out, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” (This was a Roman tradition created by the emperors)

23 And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.

Do you see a trend? The church must pray!

If you are being convicted and found wanting by what you have read it’s because God Loves You and wants you to repent, to humble yourself before His Throne and cry out for His mercy and grace.

If you are a minister or a leader in the church and you have abandoned truth and adopted worldly unbiblical teachings you must repent at once.

When we come to God, He wants us to surrender all that we are. He wants to bless every part of our lives. Pure Relevant Love is why Jesus went to the cross for you and me.

I know we have to deal with so much evil and media noise today. The world is a very different place from just 10 years ago. However, we have to approach the world the same way Jesus did when He walked the earth.

God never changes, Jesus never changes and His word never changes. His word is the answer for every situation we confront. His word is as profound today as it was when it was written. God is timeless.

We who love God The Father, Son and Holy Spirit have to realize we must bless the hearer of the word with the whole council of the word of God. For in it is the faith that blesses the one hearing the word of God. The good seed of faith must find good soil to grow in. The heart and soul of every man is the soil that must be transformed to be strong in the things of God. Transformation comes by hearing the word of God; not by the ideologies of man.
